Carl – That’s odd as I only use the default blue XP theme when testing and I never see any issues. I’ve come to figure out that XP is just full of issues.

I noticed that some of my theme’s elements change based on the windows xp theme in use. With the standard Blue theme it actually looks pretty bad. What happends is the tab bar, bottom browser bar and the dropdown box arrow on the url box change color to match the XP look. Also, the menu system save for bookmarks is affected by the xp theme in use. I am thinking I should be able to override this with some CSS, I just am not sure where and what. Thanks for your help!

1) CSS. Just find the code for selected menu items (I think that’s right) and code it in. Anything can have a background image.
2) Look in the Global -> xulscrollbars.css & scrollbars.css files.

Hi Thomas – hope I can bother you again for a little more theme help.

1) On your ipox theme you have a cool mouseover blue color that looks like an image on the menus. How was this done?

2) Also in ipox you have nifty custom scrollbars. I opened the .jar of your theme to figure how you did this. I am primarily wondering how you call or direct to the various scroll css files.

Josh – Actually, I’m not a big fan of the copy, cut, past buttons in any theme. So creating buttons for them is not really exciting to me.

I love your theme iPox. My only complaint is the print, copy, paste, cut, and print buttons are too plain and ugly. Also, the home button looks like an iPod, which I don’t understand. Otherwise, great theme.

hey, i really love your theme iPox (and your website! they’re both beautifull designed.) I had a questoin, though – i use the diigo toolbar and under ipox it doesn’t show up correctly. Is there any way to fix this? thanks so much.

Carl here is what you do.
1) it’s the toolbar CSS. It’s in one of the browser files more than likely. It can be updated to look something like this:
toolbar {
min-width: 1px;
min-height: 20px;
border-top: 0px solid ThreeDHighlight;
border-bottom: 0px solid ThreeDShadow;
background: url(“chrome://global/skin/menu/menu-hover2.png”) #001BFF repeat-x center !important;
}

2) The progress bar images are in /global/progressmeter/

Hi Thomas – ran across your website recently as I have been creating my first FF theme. I really like your iPox theme. I am wondering how you implemented two elements on the theme. 1) It looks like you have an image behind the primary nav buttons that is a slight white-grey-white gradient. I understand CSS, but can’t find where to edit this. 2) I am wondering where to go to edit the load/progress bar at the bottom as well.

About the throbber, could you just give us a way to restore it to the old one (Stylish ? ), you don’t have to restore it in a future version if more people like it this way.

evonne – Tinseltown doesn’t support anything except Firefox 2.0.

Others – Loading throbber icons will need to be reconsidered for MidnightFox and iPox. I’m getting mixed reactions on them.

Is there a version of Tinseltown that will work with Firefox 1.5.0.8. I have an iMac and 1.5.0.8 is the most updated version I can find. Any suggestions?

I really like your theme and have been using it for a while now.
It’s by far the best one I have ever come across.
Having said that though I can’t deal with the new blue throbber, it’s far to busy and is going to force me to switch to another theme unless I can figure out how to turn it off or downgrade back to your last iPox release instead?

Is there some place we can download older iPox releases?

I love everything about this theme, the only thing I don’t like in version 1.2 is the busy circles throbber in the top right hand corner.
How do I get the old v1.1 throbber back?!?!

Nice, I like the new status bar design. I have been through various versions of midnight fox, and I still think the loading indicator [like the ones in downloads] (the blue and black thing) needs a little work. Also the scrollbar. Those are the only things I don’t like about the theme. Apart from that, the theme is pretty hot. Goes great with my dark XP theme (the Zune theme). Just love the icons. Great.

but is there any way to return to the old connecting/loading icon -> the new one couses my eyebols to pop out
