Working out in only 7 minutes a day.

I don’t exercise and I’m not in shape. I’ve tried going to the gym before, but it doesn’t last. I even joined the push-up club at work; well for a few weeks. However, now I’m trying the 7 minute workout.

If you haven’t heard of it, the exercise program is 12 different exercises that work out your entire body all in 7 minutes a day. Oh, and it’s supposedly proven by science! It’s even been covered by the NY Times.

Now I’m not doing this to lose weight or get a killer bod, I’m doing it so I can keep up with my daughter. Kids come with an abundance of energy and I’d like to be able to run around, wind through play structures, and just enjoy everything a little longer.

It’s hard to argue with 7 minutes of exercise a day too. Even though I do feel the burn, I keep telling myself that it’s only 7 minutes.

If you’re thinking about exercising, but don’t get around to it, you should check out the 7 minute routine. It’s a great place to start if nothing else.

There are tons of apps (free and paid) for your phone and you just need to grab one and go.

So far my wife and I have been doing pretty good at it too. I like to think that I can keep this one up because it’s quick, relatively easy, and requires no equipment. Plus we can do it in the privacy of our own home or wherever we are at.

It’s only 7 minutes, what do you have to lose?

Yes, I realize this isn’t a full-fledged workout, but it’s better than nothing. Don’t be a fitness jerk.
