5 years ago we welcomed Lily into our life. Now, in what seemed like a blink of an eye, she’s turning 5.

Everyone says that time flies, but until you have a little one, you don’t realize how fast. We’re about to start kindergarten in a few weeks and it seems like just the other day she could barely walk.

It’s amazing watching a little girl grow up. Watching them learn to walk, learn to talk, learn everything.

The best thing about having a little one is the joy they bring to the world. Not only does Lily love her mom and dad, but she brings smiles to everyone she meets. She’s not afraid to say hi to people and compliment them on things that most adults won’t even notice. Even if it’s just a smile, it’s amazing how that can brighten a strangers day.

She’s so positive and full of life and I hope that never disappears. She wears what she wants, she likes what she likes, and she forgives and forgets. We can all learn from that.
