I was in BestBuy with my father in law the other day when I pointed out the Mac mini. He was very impressed with it and bought one for his wife for her birthday. Now I am Mac support for a few more people and I love it.
Over the weekend I upgraded the OS to Tiger, added print drivers for their printer and fiddled with the setting a little. Also added a few games and freeware/shareware applications that they might want/need.
It’s so nice seeing another Mac out there. They switched from a tower PC to a Mac mini that is probably 1/12th the size. They kept their monitor and mouse and just bought an Apple keyboard to go with it.
Since they are on vacation all week, I haven’t gotten any feedback. I’m eager to help them learn the new system and enjoy being Mac owners.
