Target Disk Mode Rocks

You gotta love target disk mode. It’s a wonderful feature from Apple that lets you boot a machine as a firewire hard drive on another. This then allows you to quickly copy off files and folders.

This morning I hooked up my PowerBook to my new iMac via a firewire cable, held down the T key on the PowerBook and then hit the power button to start it up. When the PowerBook started up a nice firewire icon appeared on the screen and my hard drives mounted on my iMacs desktop.

I then proceeded to burn a DVD of all the information and it went nice and quick.

Gotta love target disk mode!! :D Thanks Apple!
