Happy Christmas Eve

Here it is Christmas eve already! We are back in our hometowns and visiting with our families. Everything is covered in white and the temps are very below zero. Burrr. -15 this morning. At least the snow isn’t going anywhere. I wanna wish any and all of my readers a Merry Christmas! It’s Jesus’ birthday too you know. Happy Birthday!

We’re gonna have a white Christmas.

It was cut pretty close this year but we will have a white Christmas! The Twin Cities are got about an inch of snow the other day and lots of cold, however my parents in Chatfield got about 5 inches! And, since it can hardly get above 0 during the day, the snow won’t be melting anytime soon!! This is very exciting and I’m excited to go home tonight and see it all. I wish the Cities had more but oh well. Not much I can do about that.

Feline Frolic! Remote-Controlled Cat Exerciser

Merry Christmas Sassy! We couldn’t wait and she now has been playing with her Feline Frolic! Remote-Controlled Cat Exerciser for about a week now. It’s actually quite fun and she doesn’t know she’s getting exercise. It comes with a remote control so we can drive it around and the mouse that dangles off it randomly chooses when and where to bounce. She love it! It’s a great cat toy and available at the Sharper Image.

Sporadic Updates

Well the holidays are here and I’m a busy busy person. So there will be sporadic posts over the next few days. I seem to have a handful of things to post about and I just haven’t gotten around to them. I’ll try to add a few this morning but I won’t get to them all.

Ice Ice Baby - What A Workout

I had quite the workout this morning. Freezing rain had covered everything and trying to scrape off the windows was almost impossible. It took me 20 minutes to get enough of a hole to see out so I could drive. It’s amazing how much of a workout goes into scraping off windows, especially when the ice is thick. People don’t realize it but the amount of energy and movement they put into it has to be good for you. The car wasn’t the only thing covered in ice though. All roads were slick also. At one stoplight we could only have two cars per green light because when the light turned green, no one could get any traction. Even with all the icy roadways I didn’t see one person in the ditch and I, myself, had no big issues thankfully.

-10 and Sunny!

Hello from Minnesota! No snow but plenty of cold. It’s -10 this morning and we are off! Winter is here and I just wish it would snow already. Especially since Christmas is just around the corner. Speaking of Christmas I did some of my shopping yesterday. We went to the Mall of America on the Saturday before Christmas and it wasn’t bad. Ok not when we went but by the time we left traffic was getting pretty bad. Now I just have a few gifts for my wife left and I’ll be all set. Plenty of time left though. There are still like six shopping days left. ya know. ;)

What a difference a year makes.

What a difference a year makes. Last year at this time I was in school, un-married and at my old job. Some say people generally only do one ‘big’ change at a time and I guess they never thought about me. Three big changes in one year and three changes that I’m very happy about. However, with those changes behind me, I have a whole new year coming up with new possibilities! Maybe a house this year? Hummmmmm

Categories - Here I Come

I decided it’s time to start up a new feature. Categories are a new WordPress feature that I haven’t played with yet so today they start. I’ve added some and we’ll see how they go from there. All posts from this point on should be categorized and I may go back to some older posts and update them too. We’ll see about that one. ;)

Blockbuster Gets Rid of Late Fees?!

Blockbuster is to get rid of late fees as of the 1st of January. In it’s place will be a new, worse, plan. Customers will be given a one-week grace period for their over due movie. After that grace period ends, Blockbuster will automatically sell you the product, less the rental fee. If you don’t want to purchase the movie or game, you can return the product within 30 days for a credit, less a restocking fee.

Wanted: Your Directories or Search Engines

Do you own a directory or search engine that you let sites or blogs submit to for free? Or do you know some good ones? Well I’m looking for some. We all know of Yahoo, Google, and MSN but there are thousands more out there. What I’m looking for is the lesser known ones. Whether it’s Bobs Directory or Olies Search N-gin, as long as it’s free to submit I’d like to know about it. You can either post it in the comments are or shoot me an email at twistermc [at sign] gmail.com. Thanks.
