We stopped by the Apple store today and checked out the ultra tiny, ultra cool Mac minis and iPod shuffles. Yes, they are supposed to be small but until you actually see them you don’t realize how small they are. It’s amazing what Apple can put in such a small area. I was very impressed as they didn’t seem to give up any quality while shrinking down the size and price. I’d recommend getting either if you are thinking about it.

Finally, the Twin Cities snow drought is over. Yesterday we got about 6 inches of snow and does it ever look good. It made driving horrible but once we got home it was fine.

As I was checking out the sites (via RSS) that I do on a daily basis I came across the history of MacThemes.net. I skimmed though the article on how the basis for the site was thought up and created and what did I see? Me! They were nice enough to mention my brief work on the site as the Flash artist. I’m so excited. To see my sentence or two just check out page 3, a little ways down by the picture of the present.

I’ve been looking all over for a good Safari theme for Firefox and finally ran across one that has potential. Ran Aroussi has created a great Safari FireFox theme that has a lot going for it. Not only does it use the Safari buttons, it also adds in brushed metal. Granted it’s still under construction and there are a few issues, it looks really good. I’d use it more often if he could just the the find bug fixed. It seems when I hit apple+f the find bar pops up HUGE. Minor details though. Oh and it’s also good to note that this theme is Mac only. Sorry PC folks.

Disney has decided to go on with Toy Story without Pixar. The sequel happy company already has a script for Toy Story 3 and probably is already working on it. I doubt it can be as good as the others seeing as they took out Pixar and Disney sequels don’t do that great. However I’m hoping it’ll be good. I really wish someone would save disney.

A new year, a new fad diet. What’s bad this year that was ok last? It’s trans fat. The artery-clogging ingredient that must be listed on food labels next year. So, in order to beat the consumers worries, companies are already starting to make trans fat free products. From Oreos to SpaghettiOs. Pretty soon you’ll see a “Low Trans Fat” store near you.

Technorati announced Tags the other day. It is a way to categorize blog posts so others can easily find them. Systems like WordPress already have tags in the form of categories, however you can add more tags if you want. It’s really a simple idea, however I’m not having the best results getting some blogs to work correctly with the tags. I’m going to try to do a test with this blog and see if it has better results than Blogger blogs. Either way, I now it’s possible and I’ve seen it done right, however my success is still quite limited at the moment.

Just a quick tip. If you are running Mozilla Firefox and you want to view your cache just type about:cache in the URL bar and hit enter. You can then search though your cache and retrieve images and files easily.
