Register to Comment : Updated 2

I didn’t really want to do it, but I had to. You now have to register to post a comment. The good news is that to register, you just have to fill out two form fields. Name & Email. Now I’m not going to do anything with your email address so don’t worry about that. The reason I had to do it was because of spam. I keep getting like 60 every few days and I just want to see if this stops it. Sorry if it’s an inconvenience, but I feel it has to be done. If you have strong feelings as to why I should not do this, please do tell me. You can email me though the contact form. That way you don’t have to register. ;)

Someone Needs to Proof Read Me

So it’s come to my attention that I have a few issues with grammar on this blog. Granted, I could have told you that, but if you find issues, please tell me. :)

Pimp Out Safari with Plugins and Customizations

John Hicks decided that Firefox users shouldn’t have all the fun. There are lots of customization, theme and extension pages for Firefox but nothing really for Safari so he did something about it. Pimp My Safari is the result. A site dedicated to Apple’s Safari web browser and the plugins and customizations available for it. I hardly ever use Safari any more, but I’m very interested in what customizations can be done as I do still use every now and then.

Netgear Wireless Router WGR614

What a difference a router makes. We had a Belkin 2.4 GHz wireless router and it worked, just not the best. We often had down times and slow speeds. We blamed it on a few different sources before thinking that the router could be the issue. So I bought a Netgear 2.4 GHz wireless router and it’s amazing. Our speeds don’t fluxuate, they are always fast. We also haven’t lost internet since we got the new router. Something the Belkin did quite often. It was a very good investment and I’m very happy with it!

Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper

While we were out this weekend we decided to try Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper. We always try the new stuff so this is no exception. My review? It’s good. Very tasty and I’m not usually a fan of vanilla pop. My only problem is that they don’t make regular Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper. But since Diet Dr Pepper tastes more like regular Dr Pepper I suppose it’s ok. ;) Check it out, you may just like it.

We bought a house!

It took a few months and a lot of looking and discussing, but the other day we walked into the perfect house for us. It was so amazing that it seemed unreal. Well it was real and we bought it! Family and friends can see pictures and start thinking about house warming gifts. ;)

21 inches of snow anyone?

The spring snowstorm that was to hit the Twin Cities slipped a little south and blanked our parents. Over 17 inches of snow fell in about 24 hours around Rochester and they’ll be digging out for quite a while. We got around 6 or so, but nothing compared the 21+ that fell around the Iowa border. Winter’s back, just in time for the first day of spring that will be here this week.

Sawyer Brown - Mission Temple Fireworks Stand

I had iTunes tuned into an internet radio station and what did I hear? New Sawyer Brown music! Mission Temple Fireworks Stand is the title of the song the boys are accompanied by Robert Randolph. It is a great song that was very much the Sawyer Brown style. Not sure when a CD is coming or when I’ll get my hands on the song myself, but it’s good to hear them again. Also, there is a video out! Check out Launch! and see if you can get it to work. It was down when I tried. If anyone else has more information, I’d love to hear it.

Custom iTunes Prepaid Cards

At Austin’s South by Southwest (SXSW) music festival Apple released artist and song specific iTunes gift cards. The cards appear to be good for one free song which is specified on the the card its self. I think this is a great way for artists to give out demo singles, or pre-releases, and a great way to get more people to check out the iTunes music store. You can read the full article over at Playlist Magazine.
