You’ve got questions? They’ve got answers.

Ever have a question that you can’t seem to find the answer to? Well I found a site that you may be interested in. WonDir is a user controlled question and answer board. Just visit the site and ask any question you wish. Then wait for another person to answer it. Users like you not only ask questions, but answer them also. If you sign up for a free account, they will email you your answer when it’s available. You can ask anything from ‘Who won the 1975 world series?’ to ‘Does Australia have frogs?’. Pretty much any question goes.

New TwisterMc Design!

Now Live! The new TwisterMc.com design. I’ve been working on it for quite a while and I’m very happy with how it turned out. I still have things to complete, however so far so good. New things include the guest book page, a new blog name and of course the design that matches site wide.

Since it’s new, I’m sure there are problems I haven’t yet found. So feel free to post here with comments and feedback on the new site. I have looked on a Mac and PC in IE, Safari and Firefox so there shouldn’t be any major problems. Then again, you never know.

GuestBook

Wanna say hey!? Or feel like leaving your 2 cents? Now you can. With the launch of the new site, I’ve also created this blog/guest book page. Have fun, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Safari Rich Text Editing

Safari now supports some sort of rich text editing. I’m not sure how it works exactly, however, over at the All Forces blog, they have an awesome demo. I don’t even need to be editing the page, just bold or italic the on page text! How cool is that? It’ll be exciting to see where Apple goes with this.

Strong Bad Blog and a Shredder

Since I’ve been busy busy on other projects lately, I thought I’d post quickly today with some random news.

First, I wrote Strong Bad and asked him if he, or Homestar, had a blog yet. I think it’d be very amusing and then I could just subscribe via RSS instead of actually going to the Homestar site. Hopefully he responds. ;)

Also, shredders are fun! We bought a cheap one at Walmart the other day and have been shredding documents like crazy! I’ve decided that I don’t need 1/2 of my old credit card bills and things like that so, in the shredder they go. The first night it overheated though. Boy we must have been working hard. It’s quite fun though.

Adobe to Acquire Macromedia!

I’m completely shocked. Adobe will be buying Macromedia! Two of the biggest web applications companies out there. I have long since chosen Macromedia products over Adobe, and now I fear for the futures of Dreamweaver and Fireworks. I’m unsure of what the future will bring, but I’m worried that, without competition, Adobe could take the products in the wrong direction. To me, Photoshop is more tailored to the print community and GoLive is just not as good as Dreamweaver. So, it’ll be interesting to see what the future brings.

What is RSS? - A Non Technical Intro

There has been a lot of talk in the web world about RSS lately and there are lots of sites that tell you what it is, however I’m going to try and explain it in an easy to understand way.

RSS, Really Simple Syndication, is a way for a web site to condense their content, removing most graphics and ads and present it to the visitor. The first thing you will need is an RSS reader. There are hundreds out there for Mac and PC. Some are based online, like Bloglines, others are programs you run from your computer. [Mac Readers] [PC Readers] [More Readers] Some free, some cost a little. I use Sage RSS reader as part of my FireFox web browser. It’s free and works on both Mac and PC.

Free iPod - Yes It Can Really Happen

I did a lot of research before checking it out, but with a little work, you can get your very own free iPod. All you have to do is join, complete an online offer, and refer friends to do the same. That’s it! Be careful though, remember that if you sign up for an offer that has a free trial, you must quit your free trial before they start charging you. There are always minor details, just read the information before you sign up for anything. No one is trying to trick you, the details are all there. With a little work, you can get your very own free iPod. I’m still waiting to for people to sign up under me, so I don’t have one yet. But, when I do, you will sure hear about it! :D

Jeff’s Auto Service - Hopkins MN

What a day. When I tried to start my car this morning it wouldn’t. It would turn over but not start. I then called my brother and he asked me a few questions then decided that I flooded it and told me to try again later. I then got out of my car when I noticed gas on the ground. I called him back and said that I think I had bigger problems. Turns out that whenever I tried to start my car it just spewed gas.
