Way to go Carrie Underwood!
I have to say that I’m happy with the way America voted on American Idol! Carrie Underwood is our 2005 idol and I expect her to be awesome. Course, I’m a country fan too so that helps! ![]()

Ok, it’s not that I need a break from blogging, however it’ll be quiet around here for the next few days. Ok, maybe I should say it might be. Everything is in boxes and my computer is hanging on by a thread. The desk will be dismantled tonight, the second monitor unplugged and all the accessories packed away until after the move. However, my laptop is wireless so I’ll still be connected to the net. Phew.
I’m once again questioning what email client is best for work. I love Mail from Apple, however it’s lacking in features. No labels, no smart folders, no priorities, no return receipts. Ok, so if you can’t tell I’m on 10.3 at work and not 10.4. Mac OS 10.4 fixes all those issues except labels. Still Thunderbird is free, has all the features I seem to want/need and more. Like extensions and themes! It just seems to me that, even in 10.4, the Mail application is not quite good enough for business. Either that or I need some tips.
We were at Target on Saturday and my wife found Pudding Pops! Do you remember them? When I was a wee little kid I remember eating them and they are so good. For years they have been absent from store shelves, but requested quite a bit. Well now Kemps have brought them back to store shelves for everyone to enjoy once again!
They are as good as ever. Ok, so I miss the icy outside shell, but that could have been from my parents freezer. Who knows. I hear Jello also makes some but I haven’t seen them.
I got to watch most of the Muppets Wizard of OZ on Friday night and it was a good Muppet movie. A very modernized version which I liked very much. My favorite character was Rizzo and this was an excellent, new, Muppet movie.
The season finale of The OC was on last night and that show is amazing. They have to have one of the best cast of writers and actors out there. The emotion that they can pull off, and the plot twists, grip you and you don’t wanna let go. Maybe it’s how they portray the reality of situations that make it feel like something more than just a TV show. Or the way they have everything tied together so well that you can’t help but be drawn in. Either way, they leave me wanting more.
Many, many pages later, we have a house. Everything went smoothly and we are now home owners.
I’m very excited to get in and unpack all our boxes and enjoy our first house!
Who doesn’t like cheap gas? Well now there is an easier way to find it. Check out this Cheap Gas site that has been integrated with Google Maps and GasBuddy. It’s a really cool service because it doesn’t say that there is cheap gas at the Holiday station on HWY 41, it points them out on the map so you can find the ones on your route to or from work. Sweet!
The only downside is that it is a little slow. So be patient. However it does work across the US and is quite handy.
Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith opens today! That’s big news for Star Wars fans. Not for me though, I still haven’t seen Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones. I guess I’m just not that big of a Star Wars fan. Yes, I said it.
Enjoy!
- Oh and by Today, I meant at midnight. So that’s technically tomorrow I guess. Close enough.
