Sad but true. All Garth Brooks albums will now have to be bought at Wal-Mart. The two signed a multi-year deal and Wal-Mart, or Sams Club, are the only stores you’ll be able to get the CDs.

Granted, no new albums are coming out for years. He’s taking time off until his youngest is 18 so he can be a dad. However there are rumors of a new boxed set that could include some new music. You know, those ‘lost recordings’ that every one has. I don’t think they’re ever really lost, just waiting someplace safe until they are needed.

While I was out at SES, the Ask people mentioned Smiley Central because it’s one of their projects. Now I wouldn’t usually trust something like this, but since it came from the Ask Jeeves company, I felt at ease.

I got Christi to download the Smiley toolbar and test it out as it only works on a PC. We first found out it didn’t work in Yahoo Mail with Firefox. With a little research we found out we had to get the eWebMail Color and Graphics Firefox extension to make it work in Firefox. Once it did we were all set to have some fun!

We had a great time at the Minnesota State Fair today. Started off with a pork-chop on a stick at 10 am and it was great. Also ate Australian potato skins, some of a funnel cake, mini cinnamon rolls with ice cream, had a beer, a malt, some pop and I think that was it. Mmm tasty.

We spent about five hours there and I don’t think we saw it all. Most of it though and we are very tired out. Oh and we did do more than just eat, we some good fair booths, animals and registered to win a free iPod shuffle.

As a follow-up to my last post, I emailed Jason DeRusha and told him that I also had a Blog on a Stick. He then posted about my blog on his blog! How cool is that?! Thanks Jason.

I’m not sure what they are looking for but I only have 612 posts. I’m guessing they are indexing every post, every category & post and every archived date & post.

Update: So it seems that you need to authorize any buddies before talking with them. Seems that if you were to go from Adium to Adium using Google Talk it wouldn’t work. However if you go from Google Talk to Adium you get an authorization window and then it works. Or something screwy like that. I don’t know. But I’m on now in Adium. To test it you can IM me at twistermc at, well, you know the rest.

So I’m not on Google Talk.

Yep, the details are out there. I just logged into my Gmail/Google IM account. I used Jabber though iChat and it worked just fine! I tried in Adium but had no luck for some reason. I’m sure I had a typo somewhere. For instructions on how to get into your Google IM account just go to Smash’s World.
