Google Talk Help Needed
Update: So it seems that you need to authorize any buddies before talking with them. Seems that if you were to go from Adium to Adium using Google Talk it wouldn’t work. However if you go from Google Talk to Adium you get an authorization window and then it works. Or something screwy like that. I don’t know. But I’m on now in Adium. To test it you can IM me at twistermc at, well, you know the rest.
So I’m not on Google Talk. 
It seems that Adium and iChat can connect (or so they say) however it doesn’t ever send or receive messages. So I installed Google Talk on a PC and tried to IM my account that is set up in Adium (yes different gmail account) and it says I’m not connected. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong but I need help.
Any clues? I set up everything according to the details set fourth by Google Talk.

Hi,
I just tried it myself and it seems that I can talk between two gmail adresses (with adium and iChat) but not with other jabber users. I also tried to add you from my other jabber account and this doesn’t work.

I tried to IM you Stefan but you must not have gotten it. I’m not sure why it doesn’t work correctly with Adium but I’m gonna log into the PC Talk app and I’m sure it’ll work then. Thanks for trying though!
