Firefox 1.5 Beta 1

It’s getting closer every day and today they announced Firefox 1.5 Beta 1!

Firefox

Now I haven’t tried it. When 1.0 was on it’s way out I beta tested everything. Now I have to much invested in Firefox to download and test. Especially since extensions don’t work quite well yet. Course, that’s what beta releases are for. For people to find bugs and for extension developers to get their goods updated.

If you’ve tried Firefox 1.5 Beta 1 and are on a Mac, please let me know if they added pretty check boxes and form buttons yet. I heard they can do Cocoa Widgets, I just don’t know if it’s gonna be in 1.5 or not. I sure hope so.

The OC Season Three Starts Tonight

It’s back. The OC on Fox premiers tonight!

The OC Logo

Granted it seems really early, but I guess Fox doesn’t have the baseball playoffs and the World Series this year. Oh well!

As we head into season 3, what will happen? Will Summer Roberts and Seth Cohen fall in and out of love again? Will Caleb Nichol rise from the dead? Will Marissa Cooper and Ryan Atwood actually have a good life? Or will someone have a life altering experience every week? I guess we all know the answer to that one! ;)

iTunes 5 & iPod nano!

Also the iPod mini has been replaced by a smaller, cooler, iPod nano!!!!!!!

And the long awaited for iTunes Mobile Phone is out!

Opera Mac Mini Review

The other day was Opera’s birthday and to celebrate they gave out free licenses. First off, if you have to pay for a web browser, it better be darn good. After some testing and general web usage, I’ve come to think that it’s just OK.

It’s very streamlined and visually appealing. Plus there are many skins that you can add that make it even better. I have MeGuiDdo installed which is a nice black theme. Opera even has fading effects for rolling over checkboxes and radio buttons. Very nice!

PR Bar for Google Talk!

Now you never have to worry about talking to an idiot with Google Talk. Download the new PR bar for Google Talk today!

Much like how people unfairly judge websites by the page rank, you can now judge who you’re talking to by their rank!

This is a must for anyone in the search industry who can’t take their eyes off that little green bar!

Download Today! (no not really)

Help Hurricane Survivors via iTunes

American Red Cross

Apple is now using the iTunes Music Store to accept donations to help the survivors of Hurricane Katrina.

This is an excellent idea to me. I already have an account, I trust them and I have money in my account. It’s really easy and a really smart way to accept donations.

Please, take a few minutes and donate a few dollars. There is so much need and every dollar helps.

I hope that link above works as I copied it out of my email.
