Boy was I ever surprised a few weeks back to hear Dream Big come on the local country radio station. Could it be? Did Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband hit the big time? Yes they did.

Way back in October of 2002 my friend Stephan shared with me an addictive and fun song called Banjo Boy. The upbeat, banjo infested song was great! I was hooked in no time. Then in 2003 Stephan passed me New Emotion and Dream Big (live). Two more bluegrass(?) country songs that I can’t get enough of.

Now, Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband has a record deal and is climbing the national record charts with their first singe, Dream Big. I got their album off of iTunes and it doesn’t disappoint. Sure, they remixed Banjo Boy a little, but it’s still a great (banjo infested) song. Plus there are many other good tracks on the CD too. Like Simplify and Even Superman.
