I have updated the Feed Subscription Button Maker with seven new chicklets. Including FeedFeedds, Kinja, Sololsub, Multirss, Rmail, RSSfwd and Blogarithm.

I’ve also added 8 social bookmarking links. The ‘bookmark this site’ links work for the base URL, not for the individual post page.

Sad to say, but it had to happen. Referrer spam picked back up and I had to re-install referrer karma.

Now the last thing I want to do is block out any real people. So, if you have any issues with this blog, please let me know so I can fix it right away.

Hopefully the referrer spam can die down after a month or so and then I can remove the plugin, but, till then, it’s gotta say up.

We were at a local Cub grocery store yesterday and they now have the ability to pay by fingerprint! Skip the cash, checks and credit cards, just use the ID that God gave you. Now I’m not one to run and try this technology out as it’s a little early in the adoption stages, but it does sound pretty cool. Not sure the security issues involved, but I think it’d be secure. I mean, how many people have your fingerprint?

Fingerprint technology will probably be the next big thing. It’ll be interesting to see where it goes and what we do with it in the future.

Statler & Waldorf From the Balcony is a podcast (and web show) that reviews the latest new movie releases in Muppet style.

I just discovered it and it’s very cool. A must check out for any Muppet fan. If my link above doesn’t work, search iTunes for Muppet and they’ll show up.

It’s come to my attention that prefetching with the Firefox extension Fasterfox could be bad and causing extra strain on yours, and other peoples, webserver and possibly pocketbook!

Fasterfox, in essence, is a prefetcher. It reads the page you are currently browsing and attempts to download all of the other pages being linked to. When you do decide to click on a link on the page, the browser can the load that page from disk rather than fetch it from the Internet. It then starts the whole process again - downloading links from the new page into the cache ready for the next page to be clicked on, etc…

An extension for Firefox 1.5 has been created that mimics Apple’s Exposé for Firefox’s open tabs! Viamatic foXpose is a handy too for anyone who browses with multiple tabs open. Just hit the foXpose button and all your tabs will appear in one window so you can select the one you want.

It’s great to see Firefox extensions getting better and better!
