Hopefully Acrobat and Word can work together in the future so I can create PDFs with links. :)

Understood, Thomas, thanks for the followup. It seems like you're already on the path to setting things right... I'm just sorry that you were misdirected to an unfulfilling path in the first place. On Monday I'll check in with friends in Customer Service, point them to your post here, see if we can trace back and find how the pre-sales info went wrong.

Thanks for the comment John. I have started the return process for Acrobat. I was very impressed that I could just start the process online. However, email instructions are coming as I have to distroy Acrobat or something. It seems possible to return it though.

As for the phone call, I just called the 800 number on the web site and ended up at customer service, they then transfered me to sales and I have no idea what office I was talking to.

You can find my post on Adobe forms titled "Word to PDF Doesn't Keep Links"

And here is the tech document I was pointed to: http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/325287.html

If you want to contact me you can. thomas @ my domain name or via my contact page.

Hi, I'm sorry for the hassle you went through. I came here through Digg, and dig some quick searches, but couldn't find info either way either:
http://www.google.com/search?q=site:adobe.com inurl:acrobat macintosh features "microsoft word" links

I'm on vacation this week, with limited access to email, but I'd like to pursue this when I got back in the office, make sure you get treated right... good?

(Hmm, do you know where you called on that initial presales call? Knowing either the office, the phone, or the link where you got the phone number could help me pursue it more directly, thanks.)
