Here is the best way to sync Google Calendar & Thunderbird. Works like a charm.

Ok, I think my idea above may not work with Thunderbird 2.0 so I’m working on a new, and much better, post about Google Calendar & Thunderbird.

DJ – Good point, but I had a few, minor, issues with Lightning and I really wish that project was moving faster as I think it’s much needed. Good point though.

You know if you add the lightning extension, or use sunbird, you can subscribe to your google calendar, and view events in the calendar. Unfortunately you can’t add or edit the items from lightning/sunbird, but at least they will automatically show up on your calendar.
