When I was a kid I remember getting candy cigarettes. I was so cool! I’m sure that Target or Walmart would never sell such a thing these days but when I was at a store in the Mall of America the other day, there they were.
Now I like the candy version of cigarettes much more than the real version and having them again is just fun. 
I keep seeing some banners around that say “Too Cool for IE” and they give me a worm fuzzy feeling.
Well, I just found out that it’s not just one or two people, it’s a club! Basically, if you design a really cool site and it looks bad in Internet Explorer, just add this little banner. Or, if your site looks fine in IE and you just want to promote the use of Internet Explorer alternatives, this works too.

We had a great time at the Minnesota State Fair today. Started off with a pork-chop on a stick at 10 am and it was great. Also ate Australian potato skins, some of a funnel cake, mini cinnamon rolls with ice cream, had a beer, a malt, some pop and I think that was it. Mmm tasty.
We spent about five hours there and I don’t think we saw it all. Most of it though and we are very tired out. Oh and we did do more than just eat, we some good fair booths, animals and registered to win a free iPod shuffle.
Hard to believe but it’s true! RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 will be released for the Mac this fall!! Aspyr is creating/porting the Mac version and the system requirements are not out yet. For those who don’t know, RollerCoaster Tycoon lets you build and run your own amusement park. Also, in version 3, you get to ride the rides!
I can’t wait. I’ll have that on my Christmas List for sure!
A coworker and I went to the Battle for the HeArt last night in downtown Minneapolis and it was great. It was all about defining a new type of creativity because what was working, no longer is. People are blocking ads on the internet, switching channels during commercial breaks and not really paying that much attention to advertising. So, a new way of thinking is being created.
What it all boiled down to was interaction. If it’s not interactive, it’s not going to work as well.
I started up my iTunes this morning and found that iTunes 4.9 was here. Complete with PodCast abilities! I even subscribed to my first PodCast, iTunes New Music Tuesday. Checkout Apple iTunes for the updated features.
I guess I would be too if someone took my life, my wife, my kids, my pride, the pool, the boat, my tools, my dreams, the dog and the cat.
Ok, so it’s just the new song from Tim McGraw. It’s a bitter and fun song about a guy who looses everything and is forced to work at McDonalds to pay for his life and theirs. The new husband comes in and the former husband has to help him. It probably doesn’t sound so good when I’m explaining it but it is a fun song called “Do you want fries with that?

We were at Target on Saturday and my wife found Pudding Pops! Do you remember them? When I was a wee little kid I remember eating them and they are so good. For years they have been absent from store shelves, but requested quite a bit. Well now Kemps have brought them back to store shelves for everyone to enjoy once again!
They are as good as ever. Ok, so I miss the icy outside shell, but that could have been from my parents freezer. Who knows. I hear Jello also makes some but I haven’t seen them.
Over the weekend we went down to see a friend get married in Iowa and it was a very nice wedding. Congratulations Kurt and Lora!! On our way back we got to stop at Whippy Dip on Decorah, IA. It’s like a Dairy Queen only better and cheaper! If you go to Decorah, go to Whippy Dip. 
While at Target the other day my wife came across Norwegian Jake’s Backpack Lunches and these things are sweet. In one package you get two wraps complete with mayo, cheese, meet, and mustard. You also get a mini water, spoon, napkin, moist towelette and a candy bar. Everything is individually wrapped and you build it yourself. Then you can eat it cold or microwave it for a few seconds and then enjoy. It’s great because it’s all in one handy container and perfect for lunch.
