While at Target the other day my wife came across Norwegian Jake’s Backpack Lunches and these things are sweet. In one package you get two wraps complete with mayo, cheese, meet, and mustard. You also get a mini water, spoon, napkin, moist towelette and a candy bar. Everything is individually wrapped and you build it yourself. Then you can eat it cold or microwave it for a few seconds and then enjoy. It’s great because it’s all in one handy container and perfect for lunch.

While we were out this weekend we decided to try Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper. We always try the new stuff so this is no exception. My review? It’s good. Very tasty and I’m not usually a fan of vanilla pop. My only problem is that they don’t make regular Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper. But since Diet Dr Pepper tastes more like regular Dr Pepper I suppose it’s ok. Check it out, you may just like it.

The money behind the Mall of America (MOA) in Bloomington Minnesota unveiled what they hope to be phase 2 of the mall. If created, the MOA would be the largest mall in the world. Not only do they want you to come for a few days, but how about a few weeks?!

New features would include:
A Casino
Concert Hall
Ice Skating Arena
Indoor Golf Course
Public Gardens
High-End Retail (like Rodeo Drive or New York or Paris stores)
Restaurants with world class cuisine
Italian canal and gondolas
Cinema multiplex
A light rail station at the center
And 10,000 new jobs

A new year, a new fad diet. What’s bad this year that was ok last? It’s trans fat. The artery-clogging ingredient that must be listed on food labels next year. So, in order to beat the consumers worries, companies are already starting to make trans fat free products. From Oreos to SpaghettiOs. Pretty soon you’ll see a “Low Trans Fat” store near you.

It may have been my first time ever in a Jubilee Foods store today and was I ever amazed. I’m use to the Cub and Rainbow foods here in the Twin Cities and we prefer to shop at Super Targets sometimes but they are all lacking something. Something that Jubilee seems to have.

First off is selection. Rainbow, Cub and Jubilee are grocery stores and just that. Full of selection with more and more choices every day. Super Targets, however, carry a smaller variety of food choices. This is because they don’t have as much space dedicated to food as regular grocery stores stores.

My brother gave us a Santa Fe Quesadilla Maker for Christmas and we tried it out last night. Mmm good stuff. The best part is it’s so easy!! We made ham and cheese quesadillas and may even make them again tonight. Chicken quesadillas are on the list to make sometime too. What’s your favorite quesadilla recipe?

Best part of the quesadilla maker is that my brother had to go to Kohls to get it. He had never been there before and had no reason to ever step in the store. I mean it has no fishing gear, no guns, no camo so what’s the point? Well he did for Christi’s Christmas present and we are very thankful!
