Every artist seems to make a Christmas album, however most seem to record the same old songs the same old way. Lets face it, there’s only so many times you can hear White Christmas sang the same way.
Sometimes you want something new, something festive and something to put you in a party mood. Something to dance to!
I’ve put together a list of some of my fun and/or unique holiday songs that are worth checking out. Maybe you’ll find one or two to add to your collection.
While browsing around Amazon the other day, I saw a great WALL-E ad that featured Wall-E in a Santa hat with some Christmas lights. So I took a screen shot and made it iPhone/iPod Touch friendly, just for you.
In celebration of the release of WALL-E on DVD, and the upcoming Holiday season, I thought I’d share a little WALLE-E fun in the form of an iPhone/iPod Touch wallpaper.
With Halloween coming up, a Nightmare Before Christmas wallpaper for an iPhone or iPod Touch is a must have! Here is the first one I’ve come up with featuring Jack Skellington himself!
It’s already at the correct iPhone size and the placement of the graphics is optimized for for the iPhone as I left space at the top for the time and date and Jack is nicely centered on the iPhone screen.
Enjoy Nightmare Before Christmas fans!
Also, be sure to check out my Firefox theme HalloFF featuring Jack Skellington.
I’ve been waiting and waiting for the Apple App Store. One of the items I really wanted was a checklist so I could keep track of things I needed at the store and tasks to be done, all without being connected to the internet. Now I have that in Todo.
Todo is a $10 application that specializes in creating task lists on your iPod Touch or iPhone. It’s pretty basic in use, but does allow for multiple task lists, priorities, due dates, notes and more. You can even customize the line that crosses out a completed item.
I was excited to see iTunes 7.7 this morning and then TUAW tipped us off as to how to get into the App Store.
Excited to check it out, I found a few free applications and downloaded them. Nothing to exciting but the Remote application does let me control iTunes or Apple TV (if I had one) from my iPod.
I did see some nice checklist applications too, which I do want, but I’m waiting for one from Remember the Milk or some other system that can sync online.
It seems a bit empty right now, but exciting none the less!
I realized that the code I wrote for SocialAddict on Adobe Air could easily translate into a web application. So I tossed the files up online and now it’s accessible everywhere.
What’s cool about this is you can use it in a few different ways.
1 – Use it without Adobe Air.
2 – Load it in Firefox’s sidebar. Just visit the URL above, bookmark the page and be sure to check the ‘Load in Sidebar’ box. Now whenever you click on the bookmark, it’ll pop-open.
Inspired by the latest iPod commercials, I thought that WALL•E looked like the iPod type. He is in fact created by Pixar, Apple’s BFF in the movie industry. So I put together an Apple like WALL•E desktop wallpaper; complete with iPod.
I’ve been an iPod Touch owner since Christmas and I’ve been very happy. However, there are still a few things that I just don’t quite get. Maybe someone can help explain.
Coverflow – It’s a really sweet feature, but the album art seems to only match the song that was playing when Coverflow as activated. It doesn’t seem to update when the song changes. Why not?
Google Search - Google has a great iPhone friendly versions of Google Search, yet Safari’s built in search doesn’t use it on my iPod. It sends you to the regular Google Search results instead, which are hard to read.
