MidnightFox Theme Gets All New Buttons??

Tom, a fan of MidnightFox, emailed me the other day about issues surrounding the ugly status bar and other toolsbars in MidnightFox. I don’t see the issues, but some Windows users do. So we worked together to iron out the problems. Along the way, I started tweaking things I no longer liked about the theme.

One of the biggest updates were all new toolbar buttons. I used the same icons I have in extero and I took some direction from Pixelmator for that’s the graphic design program I was using. I also tweaked the tabs and a few other areas to create a darker more polished version of MidnightFox.

MidnightFox Black on Black Fixes

MidnightFox 0.65 is out and it fixes a black on black issue when tying to bookmark a page.  It also adds a custom Sage button and New Tab Button on Tab Bar extension support.

Enjoy!

Month of the Firefox Themes

Fluid ColorWell it’s March and I’ve got some great news, this is the Month of Firefox themes from TwisterMc, aka me! :)

Not only do I have an all new theme to offer but just about everyone will get some sort of an update. Some long overdue, some just minor things.

I’ve been working on a brand new theme for a few weeks now if not longer. It’s not completed, but it’s in a good spot. So a release should be coming up sometime in March.

Tinseltown, iPox & MidnightFox Updates

I don’t usually post about multiple theme updates at once, but everyone got a little update today.

As noted earlier, all themes should now be Linux compatible.

MidnightFox also got the status bar code updated so hopefully that ugly grey one is gone.

iPox got the most updates with a new throbber and a few theme fixes throughout.

For the most part, just little tweaks, nothing major. :)

All updates are available via Mozilla’s Add-On site.

Welcome Linux Fans

linuxIt took a few days and lots and lots of test builds but I think all the Linux crashing issues with Tinseltown, iPox and MidnightFox are fixed! Even better yet, the fixes have no ill effects for Mac or Windows users. I’m so happy.

A huge thanks goes out to all my help including ehume, terry(Denver) (Teruel de Campo MD), Albireo and Richard Hemmer! Without you all I could never have figured it out.

All theme updates should be available on Mozilla’s Add-On site in the next day or two. :D

MidnightFox .60

I’ve been working out a few bugs in MidnightFox. The new version of the dark Firefox theme includes:

  • Bigger Buttons (back to original size)
  • No Go Button Border
  • URL Bar Darker
  • Search Bar Darker
  • ForcastFox Minor Edits
  • Right click text colors edited slightly.
  • Additional toolbars text to white
  • White main menu text for PC’s
  • Custom Throbber

Hopfully this helps make the theme a bit more usable for some.

Here is a screenshot showing the new URL bar. Trust me, it looks better installed.

Themes Bug Tracker Online

Heimlich from A Bugs LifeI’ve started a bug tracker application to keep all the bugs, and feature requests, for my Firefox themes in one place. My goal is to not miss out on any requests. Check out the full bug tracker or the quick submit bug form.

Basically, just fill in a few fields, hit submit and I’ll be notified via email. It’s that easy. It’s even got a developer comments area where I can respond to any issues.

Thanks to ZoHo for creating an easy to use, and very powerful, online application for collecting and organizing data.

MidnightFox Updated for Firefox 2

Thanks to all who made requests, I didn’t know it was that popular. :)

Now, MidnightFox has been updated for Firefox 2.0. Full MidnightFox details.

HalloFF Halloween Theme for Firefox 1.5.x - Testing

A while ago I posted about a Halloween theme I found on Deviantart. It was a port of my Hallo Halloween theme from MacOSX to Firefox. It looked pretty good, until I installed it. Then it was lacking in many areas. So, I reworked it and am now tesing HalloFF, my Halloween Firefox theme.

HalloFF is a little bit of iPox, a little bit of MidnightFox, a little bit of Hallo and some Nightmare Before Christmas characters all thrown together, mixed up and ouput into a new theme. It hasn’t gone though a lot of testing or quaility checking, but since Halloween is so close, that’s hard to do.

TwisterMc Themes, Plugins, Extensions and Requirements

I’ve been adding quite a bit of software to my site in the past weeks. There is now two Wordpress plugins, two Firefox themes and a Firefox extension. However, one complaint I see is that it doesn’t work for version x.

My Firefox addons were built to work in today’s official build. Not the 1.0.x builds from months ago or the new beta/alpha builds of the upcoming browser. The reason for this is that I have the current official build and not the old or new ones. Without the other versions of the browsers, I can’t test my themes or extension. However, you can.
