This year for Christmas, my wife got me an iPod Touch! This little device is extremely cool and I’m completely addicted.

I now have an iPod that plays videos and Handbrake will become my new friend. It also has a calendar built in with two way syncing with iCal. Cool!

And lets not forget Safari. I sit at home on it and surf the net. I’ve already spend hours looking up iPod Touch (or iPhone) web apps. I just wish there was a way to download them and use them offline. I guess I’ll have to wait until February when Apple should start letting developers build offline apps for the iPod Touch.

It’s been a hectic month and I can’t believe that this is only my third post in December. I guess when it gets busy, it gets busy.

However, I just wanted to take a moment and thank all the readers and visitors to Blog on a Stick. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and all that jazz!

It’s that time of the year again. Time to put up the lights, shop till you drop and dress up your Firefox with Tinseltown, a Christmas theme.

I’ve no formal update plans for Tinseltown, so I’m asking you. What would you like to see updated?

I’ve been running Tinseltown for a few days and there are no major issues that I see. But you may be seeing something that I’m overlooking. So please do share.

Christmas was good to me and this year as I got a Bose SoundDock!

After I worked out a few issues with my iPod, it now works great and I love it. I’m all for filling the house with my music and the SoundDock is great as it also charges my iPod.

Other cool gifts included a new watch, the Muppet Show season one, Shaun of the Dead and iTunes gift cards to name a few!

My wife also got a cool iPod accessory, but I’m waiting for her to post about that.

I’ve stated time and time again that SheDaisy’s Christmas album, Brand New Year, is one of my favorites. Here is the first (and only?) video released from that holiday album. It includes Mickey and some of the Disney gang along with lots of holiday fun!

It’s almost Christmas and as it inches near, getting a nice Christmas background for your computer will help spice up your desktop a bit. If you need help finding them, checkout Flickr, Photobucket and other photo sharing sites.

Search terms should include

• Christmas Background
• Christmas Desktop
• Christmas Wallpaper
• Holiday Background
• Holiday Desktop
• Holiday Wallpaper

You can also interchange Christmas with Santa, snow, snowflake, snowman, reindeer, Christmas tree, Christmas lights or your favorite holiday item.

The hardest part is finding a wallpaper that meets your size requirements and/or weeding out those that actually have a desktop snapshot that includes all the files and menubar.

With all this debate over Christmas vs Holiday, some of us think it’s gone a bit to far. And what better way to express that than through song.

Brad Paisley and the Kung Pao Buckaroos are serving up a holiday song where they are trying to sing completely non offensive and politically correct holiday songs. However, their luck isn’t so good. In fact, I think it’s the first Christmas song I’ve heard that bleeps out words, and it’s not swear words.

Here is a quick rundown:

• Can’t say Christmas, have to say Holiday.
• Can’t say white, have to say Caucasian.

In less than one week, Tinseltown has exceeded my expectations and has been getting rave reviews.

Mozilla reports that Tinseltown has gotten over 35,000 downloads in just 5 days. Checking out the comments left on the Mozilla page, there are no major issues (except for some flavors of Linux which I’m working on) and a very few minor issues. Here are a few comments:

I’ve just released my latest Firefox theme called Tinseltown. It’s a Christmas theme to help decorate your desktop with a bit of holiday joy.

It’s hard to believe that last year my idea of a Christmas Firefox theme was to put a background image behind the toolbar. My theme knowledge was non-existent. Fast forward one year and Tinseltown is by far my most complete, and possibly best looking, theme that I’ve created.

It’s that time of year again, the holidays!! I did a quick browse in iTunes the other day and saw a new Muppets Christmas CD. A Red and Green Christmas was just released this year and includes music song sung by Rowlf, Sweedish Chef, Pepe, Miss Piggy, Kermit, Gonzo, Rizzo, Animal and other Muppet characters.

It’s a must download for any Muppet fan.
