Growing up, Sesame Street’s Cookie Monster was all about the cookies. He was a cookie monster after all. But now a days there is a big healthy eating push and somehow, a big blue muppet has more say in what kids eat than parents. Course that could be because the parents sit the kids in front of the TV all day.

Anyway, Matt Lauer did an interview with Cookie Monster to get all the details. Is he giving up cookies? Is he going to be the Fruit Monster? Watch and find out.

The beauty of YouTube is that people can upload videos from long ago. Things I’d never see otherwise. Check out this fun clip from before I was born (1971) where a pre-Cookie Monster Muppet thinks a computer looks tasty. Mmmmm technology.

According to Boing Boing, the character is Wheel-Stealer who eventually evolved into Cookie Monster. Cookie Monster or not, it’s still a great clip.

Christmas was good to me and this year as I got a Bose SoundDock!

After I worked out a few issues with my iPod, it now works great and I love it. I’m all for filling the house with my music and the SoundDock is great as it also charges my iPod.

Other cool gifts included a new watch, the Muppet Show season one, Shaun of the Dead and iTunes gift cards to name a few!

My wife also got a cool iPod accessory, but I’m waiting for her to post about that.

It’s that time of year again, the holidays!! I did a quick browse in iTunes the other day and saw a new Muppets Christmas CD. A Red and Green Christmas was just released this year and includes music song sung by Rowlf, Sweedish Chef, Pepe, Miss Piggy, Kermit, Gonzo, Rizzo, Animal and other Muppet characters.

It’s a must download for any Muppet fan.
