What’s the point of Google Desktop Mac?

When I arrived home from vacation last week I saw the news that Google Desktop was released for the Mac. All excited, I downloaded it and installed it. However, it’s not really necessary on a Mac.

Google Desktop

When Google Desktop came out for Windows, it was great. The main reason was becasue it gave Windows a good search application. The built in windows search is slower than hell and I don’t think that dog could find his tail in less than five minutes.

Jeeves Back at Ask!

I’ve stumbled across exclusive pictures of Jeeves the butler back at Ask! Is his retirement over?

Jeeves Back at Ask

I guess the man has been interviewing around as I also spotted him at Yahoo!

Jeeves Working at Yahoo

Checking out Google, I found that they interviewed Jeeves but have gone with Mr. T. That’s right, only the best results fool!

Mr. T Working at Google

By now, you may feel my exclusive pictures are, um, fake. Well, not everyone is happy to see Jeeves go. So, with a little bit of code, you can add Jeeves back into Ask.com. Or add Jeeves to Yahoo, Mr. T to MSN, Sponge Bob to Google or a banana to Ask. Whatever you’d like.

yExplore Updated for Better Results

It took much longer than expected to get approved by Mozilla, the approval line must be really long, but yExplore 1.1beta is now out!

yExplore 1.1beta changes the URL structure that access’ Yahoo Site Explorer. It’ll now give you the most accurate data right away. The change is is in response to my odd Yahoo Site Explorer findings.

I think I also screwed up the the version numbers. This is version 1.1beta when there was no official version 1.0. It probably should have been 1.0beta2. Oops. So I’m guessing that the next version will be 1.2 maybe?? My Bad. ;)

yExplore : Quickly Access Yahoo Site Explorer

yExplore is a Firefox, Netscape & Flock extension to quickly access Yahoo Site Explorer.

Works in Firefox 2 & 3

The yExplore 1.6 update brings updates to match updates to Yahoo Site Explorer, better Flock support and added Netscape 9 support.

The yExplore 1.5 update included two options. yExplore the domain or a single page.

yExplore 1.5

I felt that one extension that I was missing in Firefox was one to let me quickly access Yahoo Site Explorer stats. So, I took it upon myself to do a little research and build my first Firefox extension.
