Birthday

Lily Turns 3!

Happy Birthday to my little girl Lily.

Princess Lily

It’s been an amazing three years and you don’t stop amazing me. So smart, creative and so much fun.

People always say that time flys and it’s definitely true. It’s hard to believe it’s been three years and I’m sure I’ll be saying that every year to come.

As she grows up there is so much more that we can do. This year we’re talking about going on the big slide at the State Fair and this fall she may be taking dance classes.

Lots of Lily videos uploaded.

I finally went though my videos and uploaded 11 videos to YouTube. Some are from the past couple weeks, others may be a few months old.

Here are a few of my favorite:

Our little girl is now two years old! What better way to celebrate than with two parties and doing all the fun things she loves to do.

It started out with Uncle Josh visiting on her birthday. That’s pretty special as he was in from California. Josh gave her some plastic food so she could feed her dolls and pretend she was cooking like Mom.

Then she had the weekend with just Mom and Dad. She got plastic plates, bowls and cups to go with her plastic food and she loves to play with them. She also got some Elmo things and other fun toys. Plus we had ice cream cookie sandwiches!

Lily’s first birthday party!

Lily’s first birthday party went off quite well. Unfortunately, one set of grandparents couldn’t make it due to illness, but it’s better they stay away than spread it to everyone else.

Other than that we had good food, cake and fun. Lily got to see some people she doesn’t see as often and she got to be the center of attention; which she loves.

Mom and I got her a few gifts but she wasn’t overloaded on presents. At least not yet. I’m sure more will be coming in the upcoming weeks.

Lily turns 1 today!

Time sure does fly. Last year we were having a baby and now we have a 1 year old!

Look how tiny Lily was! This is at 7 days old.

Then 7 months old.

And then 11 months old.

With all the growing she’s done in the past year, I can’t imagine what’s around the corner, but we’re ready for it. As ready as we’ll ever be.

Happy Birthday Lily. You are one sweet little girl!

What did you do for your babies first birthday?

Lily’s first birthday is less than a week away now. However, we aren’t doing anything too special. I mean she’s one, she won’t know what’s going on.

One year is a big milestone and we are going to have some cake and the grandparents over, but won’t go all out. When she’s older, and knows what a birthday party is, then we’ll have a lot more going on. But for a one year old, is the party really for her, or is it for the parents?

From tiny and fragile, to mobile and fun in under 9 months.

It was 9 months ago today that Lily was born; yet it seems much longer.

When we brought her home from the hospital it was all about being so careful, trying to out what we were doing, and sleeping when we could.

So Happy Together

Now we’re swinging our little girl around, letting her crawl everywhere, and have a fantastic sleep schedule.

Hang on dad I'll help with your situps!

The amount of growing up she’s done in just 9 months is amazing and every month gets better and better.

Lily is six months old today. Where’s the cake?

This is my good side.

Lily Grace

Wow, six months have gone by in a flash. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital and not sure what we were doing.

Lily has learned so much in six months. We’re mumbling all the time, rolling around, smiling, laughing, eating mushed foods, and sleeping at night to name a few.

It’s amazing how much she’s advanced in six months and I can only imagine what will happen in the next six.
