Crispy M&M’s-Where did they go?
So my husband and I were walking through target the other day and we realized that Crispy M&Ms have disappeared. I don’t remember hearing they were going to discontinue them but all of a sudden they are no more. My husband being the M&M fanatic that he is was very disappointed. I was too as I always liked them. I wonder what made them discontinue them.

When Crispy M&M’s comes back to the U.S. by early 2011, M&M-Mars, Inc. will finally introduce Dark Chocolate Crispy M&M’s, as the third of the “Dark Chocolate” varieties of M&M’s.
Around early 2011, Crispy M&M’s are finally returning to the U.S. as one of the 6 varieties of M&M’s to be sold in stores as its permanent item with the other five varieties that become most-popular. The limited-edition Pretzel M&M’s variety is being discontinued in early 2011, because the Orange M&M character has his giant pretzel inside himself becoming invisible.
Actually, that’s not right, you know “Dark Chocolate M&M’s” and “Dark Chocolate Peanut M&M’s” won’t offer for a limited-time period of 2 to 3 years; they were being offered as limited-edition products from M&M-Mars, Inc. for about 8 1/2 months before it was being discontinued, beginning in January 4, 2011.
We have learned from M&M-Mars, Inc. that Crispy M&M’s are coming back by popular demand in all 50 U.S. states as one of the 6 most-popular varieties of M&M’s Milk Chocolate Candies by May 16, 2011, the other five most-popular varieties of M&M’s Milk Chocolate Candies are:
* Milk Chocolate
* Peanut
* Peanut Butter
* Almond
* …and the “M&M’s Minis” variety
Beginning in January 4, 2011, M&M-Mars, Inc. will now only offer “Dark Chocolate M&M’s” and “Dark Chocolate Peanut M&M’s” as limited-edition varieties of M&M’s Milk Chocolate Candies for about 8 1/2 more months before both of those varieties were being discontinued.
An all-new series of over 120 M&M’s commercials, featuring five colourful M&M characters, will be shown on television and movie theatres in all 50 U.S. states, mostly between 2012 and 2015. – At the end of every M&M’s commercial, the announcer will say “It’s a chocolatey, colourful life – M&M’s!”
In all of these commercials, viewers can hear the colourful M&M’s characters talk, whereas half of over 120 M&M’s commercials, viewers can hear real-life people communicating mostly by human actions. The following voice-over actors are reprising their roles as five colorful M&M’s characters in all of these commercials, here’s a list:
* Billy West – the voice of Red M&M
* J.K. Simmons – the voice of Yellow M&M
* Cree Summer – the voice of Green M&M
* Robb Pruitt – the voice of Blue M&M
* Eric Kirchberger – the voice of Orange M&M
Due to the launch of “It’s a chocolatey, colorful life” (M&M’s all-new slogan worldwide) by around c. 2011/2012, the following M&M characters will appear in almost every variety of M&M’s milk-chocolate candies, but only one M&M character will appear on the packaging of each M&M’s variety. Here’s a list:
* “Red M&M” – Milk Chocolate
* “Yellow M&M” – Peanut
* “Green M&M” – Peanut Butter
* “Blue M&M” – Almond
* “Orange M&M” – Crispy
Before Pretzel M&M’s was being discontinued, it would only be offered for a limited-time period of 1 1/2 years. Around 2011, Crispy M&Ms will be back in the U.S. as one of the 5 most-popular varieties of M&M’s, most likely as its permanent item.
crispy m&ms are the BEST in vanilla ice cream! they get cold & super crunchy. try it when they come back out
It’s weird.. They still sell the crispy M&M’s out here in the Netherlands!
Haven;t been discontinued,… ever.
Strange..
OMG! I remember eating blue mnm’s back when I was around 11. My cousin gave me a small bag, and since then that was the ONLY crispy mnm’s ive ever eaten. I am now 18 years old, and I just realized today they were discontinued ): At least they will be back in 2011 (:
It says on wikipedia that they brought the highest profit out of all the m&ms, so I have no idea why they disappeared…
I do hope you are right Derek and that that is not fake made-up information. I want those heavenly Crispy M&Ms back.
Crispy M&M’s will be back in the U.S. by 2011, and will be the 8th variety of M&M’s milk-chocolate candies instead of replacing any of the existing varieties, due to M&M-Mars, Inc. finally creating their newest slogan “It’s a chocolatey, colorful life” for M&M’s bite-sized milk-chocolate candies. Dark Chocolate M&M’s and Dark Chocolate Peanut M&M’s will now only be available for a limited time offer period of over 2 to 3 years before they were being discontinued, beginning in early 2011.
Unfortunately, “Crispy M&M’s” are no longer available anywhere in the United States, having been discontinued by M&M-Mars, Inc. way back in 2005.
M&M Mars Incorporated learns that Crispy M&M’s is coming back by popular demand in the United States around the next year, so it will become the eighth variety of M&M’s milk-chocolate candies, the other seven are:
* Milk Chocolate
* Peanut
* Almond
* Peanut Butter
* Dark Chocolate
* Dark Chocolate Peanut
* …and M&M Minis
OMG i agree with you all! M&M best creation! *drools* i dont like any of the other M&M so i just dont eat them. sucks when you go in a cinema, wallgreens or gas station and cant get what you craving. i wish they’d start back making them in the states. galaxy chocolate replaced M&M for me but they dont even sell that in the states so now i just eat a godiva chocolate bar once a week and 1 or two milkshakes a week :$
Omg! I love crispy M&MS!!!
Everytime I ask someone what ever happened to them
nobody even knows what Im talking about!

I LOVE CRISPY M&MS THEY ARE MY LIFE I BUY SOME EVERY MONTH FROM NORWAY 15 GALLON BAG (:
Yea. I got some from Malaysia not too long ago. My friend picked some up during a visit from the Ire as well. Im eating them right now. Mmmmm delicious.
I am sitting here eating Ritter Sport chocolate with whole hazelnuts. I did a search to see if M&M made any with hazelnut and say the reply that they sell them in Germany. I wonder if I could import them? There is nothing like chocolate and hazelnut together. mmmmmmmmmmmm & mmmmmmmmmmmmm
they “retired at the end of 2005 for may reasons… on was that they weren’t as popular as we all hoped and i heard a rumor that the company the ships them there rice (there made from crisped rice) had a bad crop and they didn’t bother ordering from anyone else so they stopped making them…
I wondered the same thing for ages.. til I was in germany and saw them! I almost died of happiness! haha
We still have them in Australia too they are the greatest!
[...] can vary from country to country, but it was still a huge surprise to me when I discovered that Crispy M&Ms are not in the [...]
Crispy M&M’s were mostly discontinued while Hershey reevaluated their candies, and they werne’t deemed popular enough to recontinue. Go get some whoppers instead

Crispy M&Ms were the best M&M product that they ever made. I mean how can you put a product out that good and just take it away, seriously what a let down. I think M&M should do us all a favor and bring back the greatest candy to ever hit the shelf.
I just had a craving for them, and when I went out to get them and found that they were discontinued I almost cried…lol
Maybe I’ll try that website….

I just had a craving for crispy m & m’s then remembered that they dont make them anymore i am very upset. why do they always have to get rid of the good things
Forget about crispy M&Ms. The best in the world are hazelnut M&Ms. I used to buy them in Germany. I would often bring them home. I spoke with a rep from the company once and asked him why they don’t sell them in the U.S. He said Americans wouldn’t catch on to them. As usual….crazy!!!! I think they’re out of touch with what the customer wants.
THEY STILL SELL THEM IN THE EUROPEAN MARKET!!!!!
I know me and my sister loved those things.I’m so bummed that they don’t have them any-more.They were so good we took them to the movies all the time we take 2 or 3 packs at a time
that reall blows, but im going to try and find some keep on looking guys im sure we can find some.
Good Luck:)
Wow, I was so pissed when they got rid of Crispy M&Ms, they were the absolute best. I remember being able to buy them at consession stands in movie theaters, and I would always buy them despite the inevitable Diarrhea that I would always get at the end of the movie. So, yes when they discontinued them I no longer had these mad dashes to the bathroom after a short periods of time, but now I have to settle for less taste!
I love crispy!! i am so sad they are no longer here. however, i was in ireland recently and they had one of those movie theater sized bags of them in a vending machine. i was sooooooooooo excited. i wish they were back in the states.
my dad loves crispy m&ms im very sasd that there not sold anymore
alright i have about 900 boxes of m&m crispy, if you want some order at 214-500-5287. Ask for Rodney, minimum order is 1 box, so that means the first 900 will be able to get them. Pricing is as follows:
1 Box : $49.99
2 Box : $85.99
3 Box : $129.99
Each box contains 45 packages
Because of the scarcity of this product, a 3 box limit per address will be made
hmm.. i think that we should all complain to the m&m factory.. please go to their website and put a comment about it
I just came back from France and Belgium and they have Crispy M&Ms over there. I bought some in a gas station and didn’t even realize that I haven’t seen them in America in a long time for a while.
