So I have a new ‘Diet’ Plan. Basically what I’m doing is watching very stringently what I’m eating 5 days a weeks eating mostly fruits and vegetables with about one serving of meat daily. Then on the weekends or 2 days out of the week I can have within reason whatever I want just focusing on portion control. I figure that way I can still tame my cravings without going overboard. This is of course all to my husbands dismay as he doesn’t want to watch what he eats and he doesn’t have to as he’s really skinny. I’m also focusing on not eating after 7 p.m. at night and at that time if I get cravings I focus on keeping my hands busy such as reading a magazine and knitting. That then takes my mind away from thinking about anything. The other thing I’m doing is taking fish oil which is supposed to boost my metabolism. I take that before I work out and then work out for around 40 minutes. Any other suggestions?

So I have always liked Reese Witherspoon in movies and so was looking forward the movie “Just Like Heaven”. It was a great movie just for a fun non-earth shattering movie. I enjoyed this movie which is all about this lady (Reese) who gets into a car accident and in the mean time her family puts her apartment up for lease and in moves a guy who is working thru the death of his wife. After some humorous confusion they figure out whats going on and figure out that she’s in a coma and they of course fall in love along the way. Its just a good, fun, humorous movie. I would give it 4 out of 5 stars. My husband rated it 4 out of 5 also so that at least gives you a girl and guys perspective.

Well when “The OC” first started I got utterly hooked to the show. It had all the good makings of a night time soap opera and still utterly addicting with the right amount of humor, romance and drama. I’ve continued to be addicted to it but I have to say lately I feel we are just getting the same stories over and over and over. Ryan and Marissa get together, Ryan and Marissa break up and so on and so forth. I’m getting bored! What ever happened to the half sister of Kirsten? Or what happened to Teresa’s Baby? Was it Ryan’s? Or bring back Anna she was a sweet girl. I got “The OC” season one for Christmas and let me tell you I can see why I got addicted when I watched that season again but now it just seems to be the same stuff over and over again and its getting old. Maybe thats good because how would the show’s writer maintain it next year with everyone going off to college? Hmmm I think its done for after this year but I hope not and I hope it improves!

Have you ever heard of cat acne? I was doing some research the other day because our one cat has these little black spots on his chin. It looks like a dirty chin and I was concerned he had some mites or something. Well apparently from what I have found its cat acne which can come from plastic bowls, stress, or genetics. We had just bought plastic bowls when I started to notice this and therefore we think this may be the cause. We have now changed to glad bowls and are putting hydrogen peroxide on twice a day as was suggested. If it doesn’t go away in like a week I guess I need to take him to the vet as it can be serious. I never even knew it existed and I have lived all my life with different cats. The things we learn!

This past week for work I flew to Colorado and it wasn’t a great experience. Everyone at work had warned me that one of the flights I would take wouldn’t be great because it was winter but that was just one of the problems. First, The flight from Minneapolis airport to Denver was fine not a complaint in the world, smoothest landing I have ever had in a plane. But then the trouble began when we got to Denver and needed to continue on. We were in one of those little 2 prop planes with 2 seats on one side and one on the other and only a few rows. Well apparently they booked 31 people but this plane can only hold 27 but then besides that its weight restricted to 23 people. Well my co-worker and I got there and he was weight restricted. Now this was a problem since the car at the other end was in his name and we had business meetings arranged for 7 the next morning and they were telling him that he wouldn’t be able to fly in until noon the next day. My main complaint was this same thing had happened the last time I flew with them. Why can’t they seem to figure out not to over book so much. Well next I was getting on the plane and we all got deboarded as now there were mechanical problems. Not fun. Finally after a 20 minute wait we all got boarded even my co-worker at the last minute. Then comes the fun plane ride! It was the worst flight I had ever been on!!! Oh well made it safe and sound at least. So to say the least I wasn’t looking forward to my flight back on Friday. Well our first flight in the little airplane actually wasn’t bad at all! Then we got to Denver and I didn’t figure we would have any problems. I was wrong! They apparently had an over booking on available planes and therefore didn’t have any planes for us to fly in. When we got off the small plane we were 30 minutes delayed but by the time we got to our gate we were and hour delayed. Finally an hour after we were supposed to take off we got on our plane only to sit in the warm, not ventilated airplane for 45 minutes as they kept saying we will go shortly. Don’t tell me we are going to leave shortly if we aren’t. Airlines need to learn some customer service I think because these flights were just ridiculous!!!
