Cruising Past 100,000 Miles
It’s been 8 years and a ton of memories since I bought my Ford Focus. Over the Easter weekend my Focus hit 100,000 miles!
I was worried that it may expire when it hit the 100k mark. You know, planed obsolesce. But it didn’t, it just kept cruising down the highway. Granted, it did leave us stuck on the side of the road over the weekend, but that was a relatively cheap fix.
At this point, I don’t see any reason to get rid of my Focus. It has one feature that no other car can offer. No monthly payment. ![]()
Google Coming to the Twin Cities?
No, Google is not opening up an office here just yet, but over at the Technology Evangelist they have a convincing argument going on.
Their thought is that Google should move into the Ford plant in St. Paul. Why?
- Well first of all it’s a large plot of land in the middle of the Twin Cities. It’s hard to find this kind of land in such a big city. Plenty of room for the volleyball courts and such.
- It also comes with its own hydroelectric dam which can help keep energy costs down, power search servers or Google Dances for days.
My Ford Fusion Experience
While my car was in getting it’s airbag fixed the other day (I guess an airbag is important) my loaner car was a Ford Fusion and it’s quite a nice car. The outside looks pretty slick. Nothing to amazing or odd so that’s good. Inside it was well designed and very driver friendly.
Behind the wheel, most dashboard lights were hidden and it was a clean, minimal feel. This is the first thing that caught my eye and something that really stuck with me. For some reason, it was just relaxing.
