iPox Mini Update

iPox FirefoxiPox 1.3 has landed and this version includes a few extension fixes and it adds in the ability to bring the old throbber back.

Fission support was requested and I looked into it. It turns out that Fission doesn’t work well with a rounded toolbar. I played with it and added in support as much as I could. It’s not perfect, but it’s better than it was.

AddBlock Plus fixes should be in place. This was an issue where red or green text was always black.

New Tab Button on Tab Bar support was requested. It turns out that I like this extension and so I built in support for it.

And the throbber. When I unpleased the new, custom throbber a while back, lot of people complained because they didn’t like it. Yes, I know, change is difficult. Well I decided to put the old one back in as a hack. Add a bit of code and the old one will re-appear.

@import url(“chrome://global/skin/extra/old-throbber.css”);

More information on hacks on the iPox page.

Look for an all new version of iPox soon.

    I just got the new version of iPox (it’s the only theme I use) and was thrilled to see that the old throbber was back. The only problem, though, is that when I used the hack, the old throbber only appears in the corner of individual tabs and not in the upper right corner of the browser. Is there a way to get it to appear up there as well?

    Thanks!

    Brian – In my testing it did work, but I see that it reverts back when a new window is open which is odd. I’ll have to poke around. Thanks for letting me know. 🙂

    Brian – I updated a new version to the Mozilla site and it should fix the old-throbber hack issue. 🙂

    question regarding how to change the background and text color for the menu buttons? do you have a stylish setting that will do that?

    Hello Thomas,

    I was curious if you could explain to me how to use Stylish the change the background of the bookmark toolbar. Also with this theme the Sidebar grippy with the All-In-One Sidebar does not work properly.
