iPox v0.6 Released

It took a while, but I’ve finally gotten around to updating iPox!

* New in v0.6 *

  1. Some Fission extension support. – Actually I coded it in and then I messed with it and I think it still works ok.
  2. Tab bar & bookmark bar backgrounds should now repeat vertically for those with more than one line. – If this doesn’t happen right, let me know. I’m not sure how to test it.
  3. GoogleToolbar URL bar space fix. This was a bugger. Now there is a space, but it at least blends in.
  4. Help icons themed.
  5. Started theming preferences icons – More work is yet to be done.
  6. Started theming bookmark icons – More work is yet to be done here too.
  7. Lock icon added in URL bar
  8. Download progress bar / area themed – No more fat progress bar. And a pretty background graphic.
  9. Broken website button themed – It’s funny cuz it’s ugly. But that’s the point right? It doesn’t look right.
  10. superT extension minor updates – Just a few minor tweaks.

Start submitting your complains and changes now for the next version. 😀

Get iPox from the Mozilla site.

Thanks for the update! Fission looks good – maybe next update just extend the bottom of the Fission progress bar slightly so the url is centered….otherwise looks fantastic – keep it up!

Thanks for the fission feedback. The progress bar uses the built in one so if I make one bigger I have to make the other too.

Thanks for this really nice theme… I have just one problem, which I’m guessing is not really your fault, more just a conflict with another Extension.

When I use the “All-in-one” sidebar extension, two blank toolbars are added above and below the tab-bar. My guess is, that, sinsce the sidebar extension adds toolbars to the beginning and end of the tab-bar, these have ended up on seperate lines.

Is it likely that this will be fixed… no hard feelings if you can’t/don’t want to!

    Seriously though… great theme.

Whoops… just noticed that you’ve mention in the wiki that you’re looking into the sidebar issue…
    Thanks again!

I can’t re-create the All In One Sidebar issue. 🙁

I’ve found out, that a certain “hidden” option needs to be turned on, but I beieve it’s turned on by default. Make sure “Settings>Advanced Mode” is checked in the All In One Sidebar settings, the go to the tab “Special”, and there are the options.

When “Enable preconfigured toolbars on the tabbar” is switched on, two white toolbars are added above and below the toolbar, as opposed to at either side of the tabbar. They also show when the option is off, and you enter and come out of fullscreen mode, although I guess this is a problem with the Sidebar itself.

Hopefully this will help, but it is not a problem if the option is switched off (and you don’t use fullscreen too much).

  7. For some reason, with this theme installed, Firefox refuses to remember the small icons setting for the toolbars. I turn it off (I want large icons), but every time I restart the browser, they’re small again. That’s EXTREMELY annoying. Can you tell me how to hack it so they stey large?

Sean – I haven’t heard of this issue with anyone else and I haven’t seen it. Does it happen with any other themes? I highly doubt it has anything to do with iPox specifically as themes should just change the look.
