MidnightFox – Dark Firefox Theme

Works in Firefox 2 & 3
MidnightFox

MidnightFox is a dark based theme that works well and is also quite usable. I wanted to create something for those that like the dark browser border as it sometimes helps frame the content.

MidnightFox is not perfect but it’s come a long way. There seems to be a big fan base so I’m happy to keep it updated. 🙂

It’s not quite complete and I know there is still quite a bit of work to do, but it’s looking pretty good. Overall, it’s pretty nice.

~MidnightFox Updates

New in version 2.081108 – Completely re-worked for Firefox 3.

New in version 0.7 – Updated black throughout as I tried to fix some non-black toolbars and what not. Also new tabs, bookmark icons and other various updates. MidnightFoxy also was born.

New in version 0.65 – Sage button, some black on black issues and New Tab Button on Tab Bar extension support.

New in version 0.6 new dark URL bar. (search bar will match)

New in version 0.5 is mainly Firefox 2 support along with new tabs and dark right click menu backgrounds.

Enjoy!

The rss ticker feed is in black, cant read. Is there any way to change the color to white so I can read the text?

TCall, check with the extension developer and see if they have any ideas.

Ummm okay I thought this was the “extension developer”, I’m going back to the “ipox” theme, its awesome as well.

works good here on firefox2 but it would be better if the fonts on the dropdown menus were a brighter color, or even user selectable. like the color scheme.

Hey there… I was hoping so much for using this… I’m giving my linux desktop a “outer world” theme… Very much “black” and your theme was “quite a catch”.

But I’m having tons of trouble with it… At first, after downloading and installing it firefox wont close and continue running in the background… After killing it i opened and there it was… But as i tryed to personalize the toolbar it exited with an error code…

Sadly it didn’t work… Waiting for the next version!

Linux doesn’t get along with my themes well. Not sure why, but I’m looking into it. Thanks
