Firefox Gets Mac Pretty

Granted it’ll be a while until it arrives on my desktop, but the Firefox team has began adding Aqua elements into their web browser. Checkboxes, drop down menus and buttons are on their way. Users probably won’t see them until next year, however it is something to look forward to and something that I’ve been […]

Mozilla Thunderbird Mini Review

I recently switched over to Thunderbird on my iMac G5 at work and I’ve been loving it ever since. I’m not finding to many missing features and there are many more features that I probably haven’t even found. Some of my favorite features include… • Saved Searches (smart folders) • Send Message Again as New […]

Switching to Thunderbird

Well I’m taking the leap. I’m dropping Apple’s Mail application for Mozilla‘s Thunderbird email client at work. Thunderbird is free, customizable and available for Mac’s, PC’s and most operating systems. There were a couple of reasons for switching. Saved Searches (aka Smart Folders) Return Receipts Mail Priorities Labels Granted, Apple’s Mail.app has most of these […]

Will Firefox ever be Aquafied?

The Firefox team keeps saying ‘it is coming’ and it never does. I’ve been seeing more and more Camino reviews lately and they all include how wonderful it looks. How it fits right in with the Mac environment. Well what about Firefox? Granted, I don’t think Firefox is ugly by any means, however I wish […]

Upgraded iPods

Along with the iTunes update, Apple has also released upgraded iPods. Now 20 and 60 gig iPods come with a color screen! Not a huge upgrade, but it seems like U2 an Mini are the only iPods with black and white screens anymore.

iTunes 4.9 is Here

I started up my iTunes this morning and found that iTunes 4.9 was here. Complete with PodCast abilities! I even subscribed to my first PodCast, iTunes New Music Tuesday. Checkout Apple iTunes for the updated features.

Bonjour for Wireless Mac & PC Printing

As we slowly set up the office area in the new place, I wanted to hook my printer up to print wirelessly since we have two computers. Now my printer is nice, but it’s not a network printer and I didn’t spend the extra $30 or so to get a wireless router with a USB […]

Mac OS X Tiger for WordPress

It’s gorgeous! I found a plug-in that converts the admin side of WordPress into something much more Mac like! It’s so easy on the eyes and 10x better than the default. You can get your Tiger plug-in over at www.orderedlist.com. It does require Firefox to look correctly though as it’s the only browser that fully […]

Pay for a Dashboard Widget?

I guess it’s gonna happen sooner or later, but the idea of paying for a Dashboard widget seems wrong. These are little applications that give you quick access to things like a phone book, calculator, ftp client and whatever you can think of. They are CSS/Javascript/DHTML type of things and can be vary handy. So […]

Apple Mail with iCal and Address Book

I have an idea. Can anyone make a new Apple Mail application? Apple has the Webkit Open Source Project and it allows you use the tools that build some of Apples apps such as Safari, Mail many other OS X applications. So, couldn’t you then just re-tool Mail and create a better version? My idea […]
