Well Taylor Hicks did it. The guy who looked 40 and acted 18 won American Idol. But what kind of album will he make? Can he succeed on the radio?
Don’t get me wrong, he’s a good guy who is talented, but I’m having a hard time seeing him being truly successful. Taylor wasn’t my first, second or third choice but I guess I was out-voted.
The good news is that Katharine McPhee (aka Kat) will most likely get an album too. Hopefully Chris Daughty and Elliott Yamin will also.
Congrats to Taylor! This is just the start of another long and unknown road. Keep your personality and look and I’ll be waiting for your first full album.
Well Taylor WILL prove you wrong. He has a HUGE fan base that has probably not been brought to your full attention. You do not know how big this man’s fan base is……..seriously. They have already said that it would be no suprise if he had a successful and on the charts album. I personally cannot wait for his CD and I cannot wait to go see his shows in SOLD OUT performances across the nation.

One producer was not happy that Taylor Hicks had won. Hicks’ off-screen personality rubbed some “Idol” execs the wrong way.
Although I am a big Chris and Elliott fan I feel that Taylor deserves his due respect. He made it. Even Simon constantly stated that Taylor can actually sing. His fans will stand behind him.
I am, however rooting for Elliott and Chris to become popular as well.
