We’ve been busy playing our Wii this weekend and having a blast. The technology associated with the motion sensor is amazing and we are not only having fun, but we are getting a workout.
It’s interesting in Wii Sports that it knows how you are holding the bat in baseball, if you swing normal or backhand in tennis and which way you move in boxing; left, right or back. It’s just so cool!
We also rented Rayman Raving Rabbids and it is also quite fun. It’s filled with mini games from dancing to whacking rabbits. Don’t worry, they are mean and not your ordinary cute bunnies. So whacking them is OK. It also has some good point and shoot type games where you control the gun with the motion sensor. It’s much better than using a little joystick on a gamepad.
The Wii also has Gamecube built in. Not only can you play Gamecube games, but there are four spots on the top of the Wii for controllers and two memory card spots just for Gamecube. So it’s really two systems in one.
I can’t wait to see what other games come out to really take advantage of the motion sensor controls. I also am trying to figure out how to get my Mii guy to get some friends. We’re on the net, now what?
