Waconia has a pretty nice beach.

We’ve only been to the beach one other time since we’ve lived in Waconia and that was for picnic. But today we decided to check it out and go for a swim. The setup is very nice, there is play equipment and picnic tables on the grass and there is plenty of beach for everyone. […]

Storm clouds from last night.

The storms last night were quite interesting. We lost power with the first few wind gusts and didn’t get it back for 6 hours or so. The good news is the worst of the storms didn’t hit us but the sky painted a pretty cool picture.

America’s actually got some talent.

We’ve been watching America’s got talent and some acts are not very good. Others the judges think are good, but their just not Vegas quality. Then there are some great ones like the Silhouettes audition, that are creative and very talented. And, if you’re going to go on TV, you must have big dreams. The […]

Lily loves the water this year.

Last year Lily wanted little to do with the water when we were at the beach in San Diego. Over the weekend we visited Lake Ann Park in Chanhassen and this time she had no issues when it came to water. At first we thought she’d freak out because her socks go wet, but it didn’t […]

We even stopped by the Minneapolis Public Library which is the first time I’ve been there since they re-did it. Turns out it has a really nice kids area and a kids bathroom that […]

Twin Cities Twitter weather alerts are working again.

Good news for all the people following one of the Twin Cities Twitter weather alerts accounts as they are once again working. They worked great over the winter, then suddenly stopped this spring. Turns out weather.gov updated the RSS feeds. In doing so, they dropped the old ones without telling us. Unfortunately the weekend gave us […]

Lily’s first time in a bounce house.

We recently visited Edinborough Park in Eden Prairie to check out their toddler playland and I have to say it’s one of the best we’ve been to. One of the first things we did was play in a bounce house. Lily was all for it and had a blast, however it turns out that walking, […]

And that’s why I don’t trust the weather man.

Last week I overheard a co-worker say that we were going to get a big storm in a week with a foot or more of snow. Then my wife heard it too. Seems it was all over the news. WCCO was reporting 12-15 inches possible, KSTP said 6+ and most other stations were reporting a […]
