Good news, I’ve gone though and updated all my themes and extensions to work with Firefox 3.5!
There are no major issues, but there are some minor ones. Like the bottom part of the scrollbar is missing and secure pages don’t render the secure part of the URL bar. I consider these to be pretty minor overall, but do hope to fix the annoyances.
Since Firefox 3.5 is well on its way to being released in June, I thought it was high time I get a few updates in.
Ever thought that you liked parts of one of my themes and parts of another? Well one reader by the name of Jeremy did. He decided to combine MidnightFox and iPox Aqua to come up with Midnight iPox.

Midnight iPox combines the dark of MidnightFox and the bright blue buttons of iPox Aqua to create a pretty nice theme! Hats off to Jeremy for such a nice mashup.
Download Midnight iPox
To install, download the Midnight-iPox.jar file from the link above. Then open Firefox and go to Tools -> Add-ons and drag Midnight-iPox.jar into the left side of the Themes section. Once installed, restart Firefox to use it.
Good news Halloween fans, HalloFF, and Jack Skellington, have risen from the dead for Firefox 3!! The theme is now Firefox 3 compatible and ready for you to enjoy.
It’s a dark theme with quite a few elements shared with MidnightFox, however, the buttons are orange with green rollovers and Jack Skellington shows his face a few times throughout the theme.
Enjoy this little Halloween treat from me to you!
Theming Firefox has its good and it’s bad times. Yes, it’s a lot of work for no money, but making people happy is something I like to do too. And it appears that, according to Mozilla’s stats, I’m making a lot of people happy with my themes.
Check out these stats!

I got a nice surprise yesterday when MidnightFoxy was made live on the Mozilla Addons site!
The Firefox 2 version never made it out of the sandbox over there and was never publicly available. It bugged me, but there wasn’t much I could do. However now, MidnightFoxy can get the attention it deserves.
MidnightFoxy is a dark theme just like MidnightFox. The main difference is the buttons are square and they get larger when you rollover them.
Give MidnightFoxy a shot if you like MidnightFox or dark Firefox themes.
Another day, another theme. MidnightFox has been released for Firefox 3.
Instead of waiting until it’s perfect, I decided to release what I had done. Thanks to the beta testers, any major bugs should be worked out and it’s ready to rock!
If you are a fan of the spinoff theme, MidnightFoxy, that’s still awaiting approval from the Mozilla folks. It can be found on the Addon’s site though.
As always, any bugs can be reported in the bug tracker.
Two more of my themes are now in beta and ready for you to test out. MidnightFox and MidnightFoxy are both available for Firefox 3 and the adventurous type.

Actually, you don’t have to be adventurous. I have tested the themes on Mac and XP and saw no show stopping bugs. Yes, there are quite a few outstanding areas that need theming, but I thought that the progress so far would be enough for some users who are patiently waiting; which I appreciate.
I love to create Firefox themes, make addons and lots of freebees that others often enjoy. I do this on my free time and love to see people enjoy them. But some days, I’m ready to throw in the towel.
I’ve recently got a few comments from a visitor saying “hurry up and release the f**king theme” and “do your f**king job.”
Now I know that there is bound to be one jerk out of hundreds of users, but it’s comments like these that make me wonder why I continue to spend my time on themes. It’s not my job and, the more negative comments I get, the slower my progress will be. These things take hours to build and there is a lot to take into consideration.

With the Firefox 3 release upon us, a lot of people will be wondering about the status of my themes.
So what is the status?
I thought I’d write a random post with some of what’s on my mind this weekend.
- I’m now running Firefox 3 betas thanks to MultiFireFox.
- MidnightFox was updated the other day with incorrect buttons. Oops. That has been re-uploaded and should be made public soon.
- yExplore and GA? have been updated for Firefox 3. Actually, for the beats not the official release. That’ll happen when the final release comes out.
- Now that I am running Firefox 3, I can start theming it.
- Just started to watch Entourage. It seems like a pretty cool show.
