Do you have creeping charlie in your yard? It sucks. Not only does it take over everything but it also is a big pain in the butt to kill off. We’ve found some weed killers that did some damage, but nothing that has killed it off.

However, I did just find a way to rip it out of the ground by using a solid metal rake. The metal rake grabs on to the vines and pulls them up.

Now, you have to go in multiple directions for this to work well. Rake one way, then the next. Change it up and try again.

It’s a bit of work to do this, especially if you have a large lawn like I do, however it does some pretty good damage and you get a nice good workout.

It’s going to take some time and energy, but it is an inexpensive way to start destroying creeping charlie.

Plus, once you have an area dug up, the weed killers should work better as they’ll be able to get to the roots easier and the creeping charlie won’t be so healthy.

If you’ve got any ideas on how to kill creeping charlie let me know. I’m open to almost anything as I hate this stuff.
