iMac First Impressions

It’s been a few days and I’ve had a little time to play. Overall I’m very happy with my new iMac. It’s so sweet.

New features that I acquired:
iSight Web Cam
Mighty Mouse
DVD Burner
Bluetooth
Front Row (with remote)
All iLife 06 Applications
and so much power!

I’ve only just began to play with my new iMac but I have found two annoyances; both software based. One, Front Row doesn’t work with my iPod. Two, iSight looks better in third party applications than Apple applications. Maybe that’s just a fluke.

Overall I’m very happy and there is so much more to discover and enjoy. 😀

How slow is photoshop cs2 on there? I am looking at getting a macbook pro but am worried that Photoshop and Dreamweaver will be super slow cause they are not universal apps yet.

I don’t have Photoshop installed. I do have Fireworks and Dreamweaver and they work just fine. I had a few odd issues but I found out that it’s Macromedia in general as my oddities happen on PowerPC machines too. Non-universal apps should not be any slower. It’s just that Universal apps are faster because they are optimized to take full effect of the processor. You really shouldn’t notice a difference.
