Lily can now drink from a straw.

Today is the first time Lily has drunk from a straw. We stopped at Mocha Monkey, our local coffee shop, and I got a strawberry banana smoothie. Unfortunately it wasn’t  that good today, but I offered up some to Lily and she like it. She was able to suck it up through the straw which she hadn’t done before. In the past when […]

Why crawl when you can walk?

Over the 4th of July weekend, Lily started walking and she hasn’t looked back. She loves to walk around the house and explore everything. She even walks on the grass and pretty much anyplace we put her down. As for hats, we’re still getting use to them. This is one of the first times she […]

Shake & Shoot: Lily’s Directorial Movie Debut

Lily isn’t even a year yet and she is already making her own movies. Not only is she the star, but she shot the whole movie herself. Check it out! Granted there are still a few things for her to learn, like how to hold the camera steady, but the movie director, and star, in […]

Can you hypnotize a baby to sleep?

As I was putting Lily down tonight, she was doing her normal routine of eyes wide open, fidgeting, and not really wanting to go to bed. So I tried hypnotizing her… sort of. Basically I told her she was getting sleepy. Her eyes were heavy and she waned to drift off into dreamland. I kind […]

Looking for tips on flying with a baby.

In just a few weeks, our family is headed out on a vacation to San Diego California. Where as Lily is pretty easy to travel with, this will be her first time on an airplane and we’re all a little nervous. Have you flown with a baby before? Any advice? So far, here is what […]

Have I found the secret to putting babies to sleep?

Just a few days ago I was complaining that Lily was hard to put down and that she didn’t want anything to do with me at bed time. Fast forward a week or so and things are much better. I’m now able to put her to sleep, and it’s taking considerably less time. So how […]

Ride ValleyFairs Wild Thing – POV Videos

Ever wanted to ride ValleyFair’s roller coaster from the comfort of your home?  Now you can. Just watch this vide, full screen, and it’ll seem like you’re in the front seat! Another, smoother, view can be seen here. It’s animated so you don’t get as many nice background graphics, but it’s fun as well. Note: […]

Where are the iPad Apps?

The iPad was released over 5 months ago, on April 3, 2010, and we’ve yet to see some of the biggest iPhone apps be updated to take full advantage of the iPad. The biggest Twitter app was Tweetie, which then turned into Twitter and has a ton of fans. However, it’s still absent on the […]

I build block towers, Lily knocks them down.

I love playing with Lily’s blocks and building tall towers. I’ve been doing it for months now and, as it turns out, Lily has been knocking them down for months now too. She love it. I guess that makes us a good combination.
