iPox Goes Pink for Breast Cancer

The other day I got an email from Angel_Wings2000 who nicely asked me to create a breast cancer theme. So last night I created PinkHope.

PinkHope - Small

Whenever I think of breast cancer I think of lots of pink and white. So I thought iPox was a good starting point. I took a few hours and I converted iPox from blue to pink.

PinkHope includes a Breast Cancer ribbon for the inactive loading icon and the throbber is a beating heart. Also includes pink scrollbars, bookmark bar, window background and icons. I don’t think it’s overly pink, but some might. 🙂

Now here is where I could use some help. If you are an icon designer, I’d love an original set of toolbar icons. Contact me for details on sizes and formats. Currently I’m just using the default ones, turned pink of course.

For a quick couple of hours work, this is quite a nice theme and I hope that it serves it’s purpose. PinkHope is not endorsed or affiliated with any cancer groups, it’s just my personal contribution to breast cancer awareness.

For install instructions, see the PinkHope page.

    Thomas!
Hello! Well I’ve downloaded it and I think that you did a WONDERFUL and quick job! lol I like the color and it’s not too much! I can’t wait to see what the icon designers have to offer! This is really nice! As I told you before, my niece and I fell in love with the Pink Paula skin for Firefox 1.5 (which hasn’t been upgraded yet!) I plan on spreading the word to all my family and friends (especially those that have battled this deadly disease!)

My screen name is this because my own Mother lost her battle to breast cancer in 2000. So now you know why the pink breast cancer awareness icon means so much to me!

Thank you for agreeing to do this and may God continue to bless you!

Wonderful Theme Thomas for suppport for Breast Cancer

But I have found some bugs in the theme though on Windows XP.

Shouldn’t the folders be pink not blue?

There is no button around the Help Button in the Options Menu

Now when you put your mouse over Help it shows a kinda half button around it.

Tom – The folders haven’t been updated yet and the help button is a known issue in all my themes. No one really seems to care to much though. 🙂

Is there a version of pink hope that will be compatible with vista?

  7. Thomas says:

I don’t see any reason why PinkHope wouldn’t work in Firefox on Vista.

I really like your “pink hope” theme for mozilla. I am very involved in relay for life and I was wondering if you might be able to personalize a theme for me or do one for everyone to use, featuring purple instead of pink.
    I would love it….
If it’s too much, its okay. Please let me know! I look forward to a reply!

  9. Michelle says:

Hiya, could you tell me if PinkHope will be available for firefox3 please? I’ve had this theme installed for sometime now and it’s great!
    Thank you.

    Thomas,

Thank you so much for the work you did on the PinkHope theme for Firefox. I have enjoyed using it since my husband discovered it online. Hope it won’t be too long before you have it updated for Firefox3. Thank you again.
