Social Bookmarks Tool Goes Static

If you wanted to use the Social Bookmark Tool but didn’t have a blog, now you can. I added the functionality to add a static URL and create social bookmark links.

Granted, this static code will only work with one URL and title, it’s not dynamic like the blog code that will create links based on what page you are on. However, it still works great if you have one special page that you think should have some social bookmark options.

I’ve also make a quick fix to the Social Bookmark Links WordPress Plugin as it seems that FeedMarker wasn’t coded right if you choose the drop down menu. It’s all good now though.

I also created a great enabled/disabled script so that the tool’s static input boxes would only be editable if you chose the static option, however this only works in Firefox and I’m not sure why. If you have any ideas, feel free to share. The good news is it either works or it doesn’t so I get to keep the code for all the Firefox users.

That’s the updates for now. Feedback is always welcome. 🙂
